Located on the warm Lake Huron side of the Bruce Peninsula, a little north
of Sauble Beach and Oliphant, we invite you to relax and enjoy the
surrounding seasonal beauty in our casual, cottage country home. Originally
established in 1989 as a Bed & Breakfast, your hosts invite you to a fulfilling breakfast after a comfortable
night and prior to exploring nature at it's best during any season on the
beautiful Bruce Peninsula. Our affordable, all seasons, family friendly
getaway, is just a two-minute stroll to one of Lake
Huron's warm, safe, shallow, sandy beaches. You may chose to relax
in our large common Living Room with wood burning stone fireplace, listening to
a favourite CD, watching satellite TV or a DVD movie, reading numerous books, magazines, or playing puzzles, and
board games provided for guest enjoyment. Short
drives take you to mesmerizing waterfalls, nature trails and paths, bike trails, and the
world famous Bruce
Trail beauty.
Meet for bountiful, fresh,
homemade breakfast in our warm sunny dining room, reassuring that you are in a casual cottage
country getaway. Breakfasts are prepared in the adjacent open kitchen on the 10
burner big red stove. Breakfasts vary depending
on the number of people and their specific tastes. We strive to serve locally
produced foods whenever possible. Individual special need dietary
requirements such as celiac, lactose intolerance, vegetarian and vegan
can be met if revealed at the time of booking so we may plan and prepare delicious
designed meals to meet dietary needs. We always
serve freshly roasted Fair Trade coffee and hot steeped teas. Let your hostess'
culinary skills and professional training shine for specially prepared lunches
or dinners by prior request.
Our accomodations include up
to six guest bedrooms, all on the second floor. Also on the second floor is a
full size refridgerator and a drinking water dispensor to fulfill the personal
nourishments of guests. All our bedrooms are comfortably furnished to fit the
relaxing, casual cottage environment, each offering their own individual charm
& character. For the summer, ceiling fans in every room ensure a comfortable
sleep. In the colder seasons, all beds are covered with duvets for hibernation
sleep. Although a cot is available, it but may not fit in every room. Guests may
choose from: Two bedrooms with queen beds and private ensuite 3 piece
bathrooms with tub/showers, One bedroom with two single beds adjoining an
ensuite bedroom can create a "family suite" or be used as a seperate bedroom, or
Three other bedrooms with queen beds that utilize the central guest
shared 3 piece bathroom with a large shower and an additional 2 piece powder
room. The hosts live elsewhere in the house so the entire second floor is
dedicated solely to the use of the guests. Sleep in the bay's black night
silence and starry sky serenity, rejuvenating your energy for the
tomorrow.

An English writer
visiting our area in the 1930’s wrote, “The golden white sands along the
shore on this side of the peninsula can be compared to the beaches of the
Mediterranean, and the islands, coves, and inlets are a natural beauty that
holds one spellbound." Slowly but surely the world is discovering this
beautiful and enduring place, and discovering what our local Aboriginal people
hundreds of years ago knew: that it's a very special place. Come and
experience it yourself.
